Hi everyone! I am taking a poll and would love to get your input. Our camera started acting weird this week, so it looks like we will be purchasing a new one in the near future. If any of you have one that you just love or have any suggestions, please add a comment to this post. We obviously know a bit about digital cameras and I know of several things that I already want, but I would still love to hear from any of you. Thanks!
I will be posting more pictures and videos later this week. Our camera may be acting weird but luckily it is still working, and I've taken a lot of fun pics over the last few days.

We have a Sony Cybershot and really like it because it has an instantaneous shudder snap - meaning, it takes the photo immediately instead of having a delay (like many digital cameras do). It will also record over 2+ hours of video if we want and it's small and compact - easy to take along. And although I can't remember the exact price ($200?) I feel assured that my accountant-husband considered price as well. Good luck!
We have the Sony Cybershot as well and for a point and shoot, it's pretty awesome. I love the video capability and we purchased a different memory stick for it so it can hold hundreds of pictures.

We just broke down and bought a Nikon D40 after years of having super cheap digital cameras that never focused. It was on the more expensive side, but it works great.
My mother-in-law has a Canon ELPH and it takes amazing pictures.
